Adult Sexual Abuse Survivors including those who are a Male Survivor like myself sometimes find the new year a hard time to cope with.
For many it is a time to reflect on the past year.... A chance to look back and see how much they have improved or slipped back into old ways of thinking. This year for myself, I can see many improvements in the ways that I deal with life, more so than in past years.
No longer am I ruled by black and white thinking... Well not most of the time anyway. A year ago, a few crap moments in a day would have left me feeling that my whole day had been crap... Where as now I can see those moments for what they are... Just moments of a day.
